SwiftPen is a 2-in-1 writing assistant designed specifically for macOS power users who value speed, efficiency, and privacy. Operating as an ambient, system-wide utility, it integrates seamlessly into a user's daily workflow across all applications, from Slack and Mail to Safari and Notes.
The application was built to solve two primary friction points: raw text input and structural refinement. Users can summon a floating dictation widget via a global shortcut to speak their thoughts directly into their active window using lightning-fast, on-device Speech-to-Text (STT). Alternatively, they can highlight any existing text and trigger the SwiftPen AI panel to instantly rewrite, polish, or apply custom prompt instructions using local Large Language Models (LLMs).
Because all processing—including audio transcription and text generation—happens entirely on-device, SwiftPen guarantees zero context switching, zero latency from network calls, and 100% data privacy.
